Die Bereitstellung und Benutzung von ArbeitsmittelnVerordnung 1998 – PUWER

​

Die Puwer-Verordnungen erlegen Personen und Unternehmen, die Arbeitsmittel besitzen, betreiben oder die Kontrolle darüber haben, Pflichten auf. PUWER überträgt auch Verantwortung auf Unternehmen und Organisationen, deren Mitarbeiter Arbeitsmittel verwenden, unabhängig davon, ob sie ihnen gehören oder nicht.

PUWER verlangt, dass für den Einsatz bei der Arbeit bereitgestellte Ausrüstung:

  • geeignet für den Verwendungszweck

  • gebrauchssicher, in einem sicheren Zustand gehalten und überprüft, um sicherzustellen, dass es korrekt installiert ist und sich nicht nachträglich verschlechtert

  • nur von Personen verwendet werden, die angemessene Informationen, Anweisungen und Schulungen erhalten haben

  • begleitet von geeigneten Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen, wie Schutzvorrichtungen und Kontrollen. Dazu gehören in der Regel Schutzeinrichtungen, Not-Aus-Einrichtungen, geeignete Mittel zur Trennung von Energiequellen, deutlich sichtbare Markierungen und Warneinrichtungen

  • bedarfsgerecht eingesetzt, für mobile Arbeitsgeräte und Pressen

Zertifizierter SafeContractor | Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsakkreditierung

SafeContractor ist eine SSIP-Akkreditierung, die Informationen zu Gesundheits-, Sicherheits-, Finanz- und Ethikpraktiken sammelt und verifiziert – sogar in sehr speziellen Bereichen wie Genehmigungen für Höhenarbeiten oder Umgang mit gefährlichen Materialien. Es enthält sogar die in PAS91 definierten allgemeinen Fragensätze.  SSIP-Bewertungen werden alle nach von HSE genehmigten Kernkriterien beurteilt. Diese Kernkriterien beschreiben, was es für ein Unternehmen bedeutet, grundlegende Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsgesetze einzuhalten.

PUWER: The Provision and Use of Work EquipmentRegulations 1998

The main requirements are essentially that any risks to people's health and safety arising from the use of work equipment are prevented or controlled by:

  • selecting and providing the right equipment for the job

  • ensuring work equipment is safely used by trained people

  • inspecting and maintaining work equipment so it remains safe

These requirements must be met by employers, the relevant self-employed and by people who have control over work equipment. If you are self-employed and your work poses no risk to the health and safety of others, then health and safety law may not apply to you. HSE has guidance to help you understand if the law applies.
